Style Me Look Book: Coral

I am loving the resurgence of coral all everywhere. Some people can be apprehensive about such a bright bold color, but it can add just enough spring to your style.

The coral pants standout on their own, so I keep the styling fun and simple. A crisp white shirt is in order to compliment as well as some pops of color. In the summer, I love to wear an assortment of head wraps. They not only serve as a fun accessory, but also keep me cool. This blue "head wrap" is actually an over sized Old Navy tank. It still looks great and no one can ever tell.;c) I also threw on a funky pair of earrings to complete the look.  finished it out with subdued lip and voila! Aim for three colors to play of for each other for a "pulled together" look.

This time around, coral plays a supporting role. This ribbed skirt with front zipper needs little help. That's why I chose the simple coral shirt with keyhole accent in the back. Again--Simplicity is key. too much going on can make the skirt look cheap and may make you feel hot. I tucked the front of the shirt to accentuate the skirt's details and put on a geometric necklace. I still felt like it needed something so I also slipped on some small hoop earrings.

This ensemble is for those days you want to throw on something comfy and go. The striped coral shorts and roomy and relaxed. A slightly over- sized teal shirt and golden flower  necklace take it just past casual. As you see, I opted to accent all of the coral with blue. I find that they are very complimentary without one overwhelming the other. Explore this color combo and see how you like it.
